Services Provided: The Asian & Pacific Islander Coalition on HIV/AIDS, Inc. (APICHA) offers HIV-related services through prevention education; community organizing; client services; and planning, evaluation, and research. Prevention education
activities target women, gay/bisexual/ transgendered people, and young people through workshops, peer training, street outreach, and support groups in different ethnic languages. Community organizing activities include a volunteer program, presentations to schools, street fairs, hospitals, and other Asian and Pacific Islander organizations. The client services component provides case management, pre/post HIV antibody counseling, language interpretation, peer advocate services, referrals, and bi-monthly support group meetings for Asian and Pacific Islanders living with HIV/AIDS.
